Confindustria Moda: Appointed the new Education Committee

Organization and Management

On 13th October 2021 was appointed at the headquarters of Confindustria Moda in Milan, the new Education Committee of Confindustria Moda, the federation formed by the 7 associations representing the Italian fashion and accessories industry.

Present at the first meeting were Confindustria’s Vice President for Human Capital Gianni Brugnoli and Dr. Cristina Grieco, advisor to the Ministry of Education Patrizio Bianchi.

Paolo Bastianello, as President of the Education Committee of Confindustria Moda, after having introduced all the members, brought the greetings of the President of Confindustria Moda, Cirillo Marcolin.

Dr. Antonietta Zancan, ITS manager of the Ministry of Education, also attended the meeting.

The Committee is made up of a qualified representation of entrepreneurs and experts from all fashion sectors: textiles-clothing, footwear, leather goods, eyewear, jewellery, fur and tanning.

However, the Education Committee of Confindustria Moda, which continues the work of Sistema Moda Italia over the last five years by expanding to all fashion and accessories sectors, has confirmed the presence of the TAM Network (over 100 technical/professional institutes located throughout Italy) and a qualified representation of the main ITS Moda (Biella, Florence, Brescia and Naples) which have been actively collaborating with the Confindustria Moda associations for some time.

Important changes in the composition of the Education Committee include the presence of Assomac, the association of leather machinery manufacturers, and Acimit, the association of mechanical-textile machinery manufacturers, as well as the Busto Arsizio Centro Tessile Cotoniero e Abbigliamento , which will involve other research, analysis and certification bodies, and Istituto Secoli, representing fashion and accessories academies. Certottica, the Italian Institute for the Certification of Optical Products, which manages the International Eyewear Polytechnic, and the Brenta Footwear Polytechnic will also be present.

Confindustria Moda Education aims to consolidate the widest platform of training experiences, aimed at better interaction between companies and schools and training centres, with particular regard to the technical/professional area, which undoubtedly presents the most critical issues. In addition, school/professional guidance to young people, families and guidance teachers will be strengthened and made systematic at national and local level, following the strategic lines and activities indicated by the national Confindustria.

Considering also the sensitivity shown by the current Ministry Patrizio Bianchi, Confindustria Moda confirms its full availability to contribute to the training of teachers of subjects related to the fashion and accessory industry and even more to the necessary quantitative and qualitative growth of ITS.

The Education Committee of Confindustria Moda will also be at the disposal of all member companies for a careful analysis of the training offer aimed at the sector, in order to guarantee, particularly to SMEs, a reference point with experience and qualitative and economic knowledge aimed at safeguarding the training investments of the companies themselves.
