FutureTEX: the circular, organic and digital textile of the future

A training course to get to know the textile you don't expect:
New materials, contamination between different industrial sectors, advanced manufacturing, circular economy, certifications, internationalization, hi-tech factories striving for continuous innovation. An industry recognized worldwide for its products reaching the highest technical and quality standards and for the skills of its technicians.

Who

Unemployed between 18 and 35 years old (on 26/02/2019), resident or domiciled in Lombardy with a degree or diploma (high school, upper secondary education) preferably in technical-scientific subjects.

To certify the state of unemployment it will be necessary to produce the Declaration of Immediate Willingness to Work (Dichiarazione di Immediata disponibilità al lavoroDID) and sign the Service Agreement at the centers that deal with employment services.

What

  • A 500-hours course (including 200 hours of internship) for 10 participants:

“Expert for research and innovation in the textile sector” to acquire the essential bases of textile technology and to deepen the new trends of development related to materials, processes, technologies, and market. 200 hours are dedicated to curricular internships at companies in the sector.

  • 3 In-depth inter-sectoral workshops lasting 80 hours each, aimed at 5 participants:
    1)Smart Textiles” Laboratory
    2)Workshop “Eco-design in the Textile and Fashion sector”.
    3)Laboratory “Chemistry in the textile sector and the approach of Green Chemistry”

It is an experiential didactic, coordinated by facilitators, aimed at stimulating confrontation and ideas between groups of people with different scientific and technical cultures.

  • A 40-hours Work Group “Management of chemical substances in the textile industry” addressed to 10 participants to deepen the management of chemical risk through the monitoring of production processes and the supply chain.

The course aims to investigate the models in use and – through direct application – to investigate their tools, methods and aims. These include the ZDHC – Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals.

Funding

If the project is eligible for funding, the courses will be free of charge for the selected participants.

The project was submitted on the basis of the “Lombardia Plus 2019/2020 – Smart Line” notice from the Lombardy Region.

Why participate?

A recent study by SMI (Sistema Moda Italia) states that “in the next few years, just as a result of the normal turnover, the textile and clothing sector will hire almost 50,000 new employees, especially in qualified roles, with significant percentages of graduates and graduates”.

“FutureTEX: the circular, organic and digital textile of the future” intends to support the integration of young people in the sector. Professional training, direct contact with companies and internships have enabled 70% of the participants in our courses to find employment within 12 months of completing their training.

Centrocot will also select 3 students, among those who have participated profitably in the courses, passing the exams, for work experience at its structure.
