[:en] The UNI EN ISO 14021:2016 standard defines the environmental self-declarations, or type II assertions, by companies for their products or processes to demonstrate a peculiarity that has not yet found a reference certification, and allows the company to declare an environmental characteristic that can be validated by a third party. Fabric House is a company whose mission is the circular economy, the company has in fact decided to invest in a sustainable business model and it is no coincidence that it was chosen to settle the activities in the heart of the district of Prato, for decades devoted to the recycling of textiles. Making use of the ISO 14021:2016 standard with the support of Centrocot’s technicians, it was possible to mark recovered fabrics with two labels: Circular Fabric Standard (CFS), RECLAIMED FABRICS, for fabrics that have been recovered, inspected and then marketed, and Circular Fabric Standard (CFS) “Creative modification”, RECLAIMED FABRICS, specific for fabrics that have undergone rework. Being able to attribute specific labels based on environmental assertions to their products is not only a valuable marketing tool for companies, but also a way to demonstrate the value and quality of their work in a transparent and reliable way, allowing them to consolidate the relationship of trust with their customers.
