Alessanderx SpA, a historical company based in Prato and manufacturer of mattresses and sleep products, has completed the process to obtain the MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX® label for two new products: the matratze and the topper of the Coo*ler Fresh Technology line.
Only products that have previously achieved STANDARD 100 and STeP by OEKO-TEX® certification can be labelled MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX®. This means that not only has every part of the product been tested for harmful substances, but also that the company has used environmentally and worker-friendly production processes at every stage of manufacture.

STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®:
STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is an independent and internationally uniform certification for raw materials, semi-finished and finished products from the textile and leather industry at every stage of processing as well as for the accessory materials used. STANDARD 100 guarantees maximum consumer safety through extensive testing in accordance with the strictest legal requirements and constantly updated techniques and criteria.

STeP by OEKO-TEX®:
Sustainable Textile Production (STeP) is an independent certification system for brands, retailers and manufacturers in the textile chain who want to communicate their path towards more sustainable production conditions in a transparent and credible way.
The modular structure of the STeP certification allows for a comprehensive analysis of all relevant company areas regarding the use of environmentally friendly technologies and products, efficient use of resources as well as compliance with fair working conditions.

The combination of these two certification systems results in MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX®, a traceable product label for all types of textile products (not only garments but also home textiles) and leather products including non-textile/leather components.
The MADE IN GREEN label guarantees all-round safety and sustainability, in total transparency: each product bears a label with a unique code and QR Code which, when scanned, makes it possible to follow the production process of the object, for each production plant.
We can therefore define it as a small travel diary, which tells us all the stages of production of the product we have in our hands and guides us along a chain of commitment and dedication to quality: of textile materials, chemical products, but also production sites and working conditions.

Alessanderx SpA, storica azienda di Prato produttrice di materassi e prodotti per il sonno, ha portato a termine l’iter per ottenere l’etichetta MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX® per due nuovi prodotti: il matratze e il topper della linea Coo*ler Fresh Technology.

Possono essere etichettati MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX® solo i prodotti che hanno precedentemente ottenuto le certificazioni STANDARD 100 e STeP by OEKO-TEX®, ciò significa che non solo ogni parte del prodotto è stata testata per la presenza di sostanze nocive, ma anche che l’azienda ha utilizzato processi produttivi rispettosi dell’ambiente e dei lavoratori in ogni fase della realizzazione.

STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®:

STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® è una certificazione indipendente e uniforme a livello internazionale per le materie prime, i semilavorati e i prodotti finiti del settore tessile e cuoio ad ogni livello di lavorazione, oltre che per i materiali accessori utilizzati. STANDARD 100 garantisce massima sicurezza al consumatore, grazie a test approfonditi secondo i più stringenti valori di legge e tecniche e criteri costantemente aggiornati.

STeP by OEKO-TEX®:

Sustainable Textile Production (STeP) è un sistema di certificazione indipendente per brand, retail e produttori nell’ambito della filiera tessile che desiderano comunicare, in maniera trasparente e credibile, il proprio percorso verso condizioni di produzione più sostenibili.
La struttura modulare della certificazione STeP permette un’analisi completa di tutte le aree aziendali rilevanti in merito all’uso di tecnologie e prodotti eco-compatibili, un efficiente uso delle risorse nonché l’ottemperanza a condizioni di lavoro eque.

L’unione di questi due sistemi di certificazioni dà vita a MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX®, un’etichetta di prodotto tracciabile per tutti i tipi di prodotti tessili (non solo indumenti, ma anche tessuti per la casa) e prodotti in pelle, compresi i componenti non tessili/pelle.

L’etichetta MADE IN GREEN garantisce sicurezza e sostenibilità a tuttotondo, in totale trasparenza: ogni prodotto riporta infatti un’etichetta dotata di codice univoco e QR Code che, scansionato, permette di seguire l’iter di realizzazione dell’oggetto, per ogni impianto di produzione.
