[:en] As evidenced by the ‘100 Italian circular economy stories’ report presented by the Symbola Foundation and Enel in mid-December 2021, Italy is strong in the circular economy and has the highest percentage of recycling out of all waste: 79.4%, double the European average (49%). A primacy that must be maintained through targeted investments and regulations appropriate to the times. Although it represents a sector of excellence for Italy, in fact, the circular economy does not yet have a national strategy to refer to. The recovery of material in the production cycles allows an annual saving of 23 million tons of oil equivalent and 63 million tons of CO2. In this context, the new year is emerging with economic prospects linked to the promotion of the circular economy and the dynamics of the PNRR green agenda. Important news that will see the protagonist of the Ministry of Ecological Transition in preparing the awaited national strategy for the circular economy and the program for waste management. Project pillars prepared, in the course of 2021, see the launch of seven calls for tenders aimed at projects that support separate collection and recycling plants. In particular, these are business projects that promote the use of highly innovative technologies and processes in the field of electronic and ICT, paper and cardboard, plastics and textiles supply chains. Below are the relevant notices for submitting grant applications: Universities and research bodies that will organize themselves as foundations or consortia can apply and may also involve public or private subjects engaged in research and highly qualified. To participate, interested parties must use the GEA computer platform of the MUR (Ministry of University and Research) which is available starting from 12:00 on 17 January 2022 and will remain online until 12:00 on 15 February 2022.
