[:en] More information on the OEKO-TEX® certifications: Author: Editorial staff Durante il secondo anno della pandemia OEKO-TEX® ha fatto ogni sforzo per continuare con la certificazione ed evitare interruzioni della catena di approvvigionamento sostenendo l’industria e la lotta globale contro COVID-19, contribuendo con la rinuncia a più di 370 quote per la certificazione STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® su maschere per bocca e naso. A causa delle restrizioni di viaggio, l’organizzazione ha implementato linee guida per eseguire audit virtuali a garanzia di un processo di certificazione regolare e coerente. Inoltre l’associazione ha sviluppato l’OEKO-TEX® Carbon & Water Footprint Tool per aiutare l’industria della moda a ridurre le emissioni di CO2 e il consumo di acqua. Nel 2021 la metodologia è stata certificata con successo da una terza parte indipendente e sarà integrata nella certificazione STeP by OEKO-TEX® nel 2022. La fiducia riposta dal mercato nei confronti dei certificati emessi dagli Istituti OEKO-TEX® è di primaria importanza: i Round Robin Test garantiscono l’alta qualità delle procedure di misura, perchè campioni identici sono testati con metodi identici in ogni istituto per fornire un confronto interlaboratorio a garanzia dei consumatori. Per quanto riguarda la protezione dei marchi, OEKO-TEX® utilizza, dall’inizio del 2021, il software di protezione dei marchi SENTRYC per agire contro le violazioni dei marchi. Finora sono stati individuati e risolti oltre 2.600 casi di abuso. The International OEKO -TEX® Association reported positive results despite the challenges of the pandemic by issuing more than 31,000 certificates and labels, a 31% increase over 2019/2020.
During the second year of the pandemic, OEKO-TEX® made every effort to continue with certification and avoid supply chain disruptions by supporting the industry and the global fight against COVID-19, contributing by waiving more than 370 quotas for STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certification on mouth and nose masks.
Due to travel restrictions, the organization implemented guidelines to perform virtual audits to ensure a smooth and consistent certification process.
In addition, the association developed the OEKO-TEX® Carbon & Water Footprint Tool to help the fashion industry reduce CO2 emissions and water consumption. In 2021 the methodology was successfully certified by an independent third party and will be integrated into the STeP by OEKO-TEX® certification in 2022.
The trust placed by the market in the certificates issued by the OEKO-TEX® institutes is of paramount importance: Round Robin Tests guarantee the high quality of the measurement procedures because identical samples are tested with identical methods in each institute to provide a cross-laboratory comparison for consumer protection.
As far as trademark protection is concerned OEKO-TEX® has been using the SENTRYC trademark protection software to take action against trademark infringements since the beginning of 2021. So far more than 2,600 cases of abuse have been detected and resolved.
