[:en]Our laboratory has recently expanded its scope of accreditation to include three fundamental tests for evaluating the performance of personal protective equipment (PPE): UNI EN ISO 9185, UNI EN ISO 13997, and UNI EN ISO 24231.
UNI EN ISO 9185 – Resistance to molten metal splashes
This standard defines a method for determining the resistance of materials to molten metal impact, a crucial requirement for protective clothing used in metallurgical processes.
The inclusion of this test among those accredited guarantees the reliability and international recognition of the results, benefiting manufacturers and customers operating in high thermal risk environments.
UNI EN ISO 13997 – High force cut resistance
Recognized as the most representative method of the actual impact cut resistance of protective materials and gloves, this test measures the force required to cut a sample with a straight blade.
Our accreditation to this standard allows us to offer comparable, reproducible results that comply with the requirements of European PPE regulations.
UNI EN ISO 24231 – Rain protection
This standard assesses the resistance to water penetration of materials used for rain protection clothing. It is crucial for ensuring the waterproofing of garments intended for workers exposed to the elements, in line with PPE standard requirements.
Accreditation ensures reliable, objective results that comply with European regulations.
Why is it important?
The expansion of accredited testing is a strategic step in supporting companies in regulatory compliance and the development of innovative and safe products.
Thanks to a quality system compliant with UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025, we can ensure transparency, impartiality, and reliability throughout the testing chain, and thanks to UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17065, we can guarantee competence in product certification, offering a European-recognized service for assessing PPE compliance.
